You all know about my podcast, COMIC NEWS INSIDER. And you all know about my love for the TV show Lost. I stumbled across a podcast called The Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack years ago hosted by this kid in his 20's named Jay and his step-dad Jack. It was a fun, well put together podcast and I really dug it. I emailed them whenever we had my buddy Michael Emerson ("Ben Linus" on Lost) on my show so we could do some cross promo. Since then, they've been on my show a few times and vice-versa. Here we are first meeting in person at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2006. (That's my co-host, Joe, with us.).
Their podcast has gone on to great success with huge numbers and big sponsors. Using this new power over the internets, they started doing a charity podcast a couple of years ago for Autism Speaks. A marathon 24-25 hours. I've been involved with it 2 years running appearing in the wee hours to discuss comic books and to name drop a bunch. Well, they're at it again! (And so am I!)
This year, it's Jay and Jack's 30 hour Podcast for Autism Speaks. Boy, do they have some great guests lined up. Besides yours truly, once again doing the late shift at 3am, they also have some stars from Lost on as well. It starts today at 12pm. Damon Lindelof himself, creator/producer/writer of Lost, will be on tonight from 7-8pm. As I mentioned, I'm on from 3-4:30am discussing our favorite actors/actresses in a comic book based movies. And to end it with a bang is Jorge Garcia, ("Hurley" on Lost), on tomorrow from 4:30-6pm. (Click on the link above for the full schedule).
It's streaming live on Ustream (starting at 12pm) so please tune in at 3am (if you're up) to hear us nerd out about comic books, movies, and TV shows. Click on that link to bookmark and visit at 3am! Of course, feel free to tune in any time during the 30 hours. Naturally, I want you tuning in at 3am to hear me and my awesomeness. And when you do, GIVE TIL IT HURTS!!
Thanks for the heads-up Jay and Jack. I'm listening to them as I type.
