Epic indeed. I'll review this on Tuesday's episode 305 of my podcast, COMIC NEWS INSIDER. Quick thoughts though (minor spoilers, at best):
- This is in every review & it seems obvious from the trailers so hopefully not much of a spoiler. With Hogwarts not actually a big part of the film, it didn't feel like a Harry Potter movie. And that's not a bad thing. Very dark, yes. But really well done.
- I've never read the books and won't, so shut up about it. I know most of what happens at the end just from reading up on it over the years. But, I was surprised at the death of one character and it was quite moving.
- We've watched these kids grow up in front of our eyes. They've really turned into good actors.
- I wanted more Luna!
- This one has some really adult moments throughout. Especially a certain scene with Harry & Hermione. Whoa.
- Helena Bonham-Carter is still delightfully wicked as Bellatrix. I know she's a bad guy but I heart her muchly.
- While they are wand fights, they are still pretty awesome.
Tune in next week to hear the complete review, ya muggle bitches!
