My friend Tory found these wedding pictures. Is that a zombie approaching in the background? Yup! Best wedding pics...EVER! Click for more great zombie wedding pics!
Apparently, this wine's name is a slang term for "fellatio". It tastes good in your mouth. The company prefers if you swallow and not spit their product. Just saying.
After 4 years in lovely East Harlem (note sarcasm), I'm moving out! Got my broker on the search and am seeking out another 'hood. And hopefully not too hoody.
And after 4 years on my own (besides the weekly stripper visits), I'm taking on a roomie. My good pal/awesome cartoonist Ben Templesmith and I are shacking up! This could be dangerous. But I'm sure it'll be fun!

I finally saw The Losers. The film adaptation of the hit Vertigo comic book series. (Shameful nerd confession: I've still not read it. Sorry Andy & Jock!). I really liked it! Full of action, humor and fun. I know it didn't do very well upon it's release. I had planned on seeing it but since I hadn't read the comic, it wasn't high on my list. Glad to see it now though!
Basic plot is a group of special forces soldiers (Great cast led by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chris Evans and Idris Elba) gets screwed over and framed forcing them to play dead and go underground. A woman (Zoe Saldana) finds them and seems to want to help them get revenge against the person who set them up. Max (Jason Patric), the bad guy who set them up, is deliciously evil. Ridiculous amounts of violence and explosions that some would call gratuitous and trite. But I call awesome! Evans is really funny and the banter amongst the guys is loose and silly at times. Patric is also hilarious with his over the top bad guy take. Eventually, they take down the bad guy and re-enter their lives. Happy happy all around! Or is it?
It's by no means a great film you'll want to watch over and over, but I do recommend at least one viewing if you're in for some 'splosive fun!
You like drinking a certain wine. Let's say Chardonnay is your wine of choice. You buy a cheap brand from the local supermarket and it's deeeelicous. You go to your local small town restaurant and order it and it's the same. Then you go on vacation and order it and it's NOTHING LIKE IT! Guess what? Chardonnay grapes taste different depending on where they're grown. A Napa Valley Chardonnay is typically oaky and buttery. A Chardonnay from Burgundy is NOTHING like that. (Did you know that Chablis is a Chardonnay?).
Same goes for other grapes. Malbec from France (where the grape originates) is not like a Malbec from Argentina (where people think it originates). And so forth. So, be open to trying new things if a nice restaurant or bar doesn't have the $10 swill you're used to. You might find a new grape to like.
Everyone does the "courtesy laugh". You know what I mean. Someone says something that THEY think is funny and you laugh along with it. STOP. It just encourages these unfunny folks to keep trying. I don't courtesy laugh so don't get offended when I don't laugh at you. You're just not funny, Chuckles.
It's our San Diego Comic-Con TV special! Okay, okay. I KNOW that Tucker & Dale vs. Evil is a movie, but it was the last interview left from SDCC and I wanted to throw it in this episode. CNI correspondents Megan Fischer and Melissa Bleier took care of these interviews for your listening pleasure. The sound is a bit rough on a couple as one event was outdoors and some of the roundtable rooms were quite loud. Still, they got some great questions in and did an awesome job. Megan sat in on the roundtables for both Chuck and Fringe while Melissa covered the Grimm roundtable and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil red carpet. Leave your iTunes comments! 5 stars and nothing but love!
My good pal Grace Helbig came by to see me with her mama! I know I'm a broken record when it comes to Grace, but mark my words, everyone will know who she is in 3-5 years. Sure, she's pretty but she's also super smart and holycrapyourpants hilarious! Just check out her 5 days a week YouTube channel, Daily Grace. Here's the recent one that she and mama did!
Besides being a good pal and amazing cartoonist, Jamie is a smart cookie as well. I loved his recent take on the riots in the UK. His strip is above and his accompanying words below:
"There are two sides to every story sure, and reasons behind what happened across the UK the last few days. But the sheer brutality and stupidity of some of the events, and the pathetic attempts to justify it, must have made a lot of people question humanity. Thank god for the people who are doing genuine good in this world, such as all those who turned up to clean up the streets, maybe the news should feature them more. They’re inspirations."
