Kiefer Sutherland LOVES (I Mean REALLY Loves) Jimmy Aquino!

I'm chilling at one of my local bars that I've been going to for years. My good pal Kevin Conn had come by to hang and we were catching up as it's been awhile. Suddenly, this very tipsy guy is walking out and turns to us. 

"You guys are the smartest guys in this bar! You know why? Because you're sitting over here alone. You guys fucking rock!"

And out he goes. The guy in question? Kiefer Sutherland! Yup. That's us up there in the somewhat grainy picture! He was clearly feeling his drinks but in such a nice way. It didn't hit me that it was him until he said the last part and walked out. I was like, "Did Kiefer Sutherland just tell us we 'fucking rock'?" Oh yes. He did! Ha! It was sort of a back-handed compliment too, but hey...it was from Kiefer. I'll take it. 

About 15 minutes later, we were putting our coats on to leave and Kiefer suddenly comes back in after being outside for a smoke. An amazing exchange then occurred. I went over to shake his hand and he just started talking to me. Sort of babbling a bit but it was endearing and funny and just plain cute. 

"You guys are the ones that I said were the smartest ones here! You rock. Come here, brother." 

To which the hug-fest began. He kept hugging and hugging me and telling me that I was awesome. And then, I went to shake his hand again and he grabbed my hand...and...wait for it...KISSED IT! Several times. I didn't know what to do besides just let it happen. Again, just charming and funny. Then he starts on Kevin. Same thing. Just awesome. I felt like we may have been overstaying our welcome so I made overtures to leave and cheekily asked if I could get a picture with him and he happily obliged. I took a picture of him and Kevin as well. 

Clearly, I'm the better picture taker out of the two of us. Must be the Asian in me. Mwhahaha. 

Again, I started trying to leave and he stops me and says, "Did you have a good time tonight? Why?" I replied, "I was catching up with an old pal here." He gloriously shouts back, "ME TOO! ISN'T IT GREAT!!" More good-byes and hugs and hand kisses later and we finally left the bar. It sounds like that all took about an hour when in reality it was in the span of about 3 minutes. 

I've always dug me some Kiefer. Mostly from his early work like The Lost Boys, Young Guns and Flatliners. Oh yeah! 

I'm pretty sure he got me pregnant with all of that love. So I'm sure I'll be seeing him again. And no, we're not naming the kid "Jack Bauer". If anything, it'll be "Ace Merrill". 

Call me, Kiefer!

That is so cool you guys got to meet him! Great stories. Jealous now. I've only met him at "events" and not hanging out.
