I'm currently reading this giant book (almost 800 pages!) right now and am about 3/4 through it. It's the complete collection of Scud: The Disposable Assassin and collects all 24 issues plus a couple of one-shots. And I'm loving every bit of it! I remember this back in the day but never picking it up. It was created/written/illustrated by Rob Schrab (of The Sarah Silverman Progam & Channel 101.com fame) and featured additional writing by Dan Harmon (creator of my favorite comedy Community).
The story goes: It's the future and you can buy a robotic hitman in a vending machine that self-destructs after it kills its' primary target. However, Scud (part of the "Heartbreaker" series of robots) discovers this and decides he wants to live. He goes on adventure after murderous/violent/hilarious adventure. Really crazy supporting characters including an evil Benjamin Franklin and my favorite sidekick ever, Drywall.

Ain't he just the cutest little stinker?
Hear me wax on about it a bit more on next week's episode of my podcast, COMIC NEWS INSIDER!
