SDCC Friday

Friday started off at 9:45 doing press roundtables for the upcoming Dredd movie. Karl Urban and Olivia Thirlby were in attendance. It was on the outdoors roof deck of the Hard Rock Hotel so super laid back and fun. Then it was off to the press room for the new Arrow show coming on the CW this fall. Seems interesting and I look forward to their take on the classic DC character. Then the day was as follows.

• Paranorman round tables with Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Anna Kendrick and others. Anna is so stunning in person and she's super funny. 
• Again, all press rooms ran late so I hoofed it over to meet up with Roger Corman and 2 of the stars (Jena Sims, Olivia Alexander) of his new film. I was a bit flustered having literally run over to make it in time so started off with an uninformed question. Oops! Roger was super nice though. And the ladies were lively and fun. 
• The Walking Dead roundtables were next. Got to chat with almost everyone in the cast and while we didn't get anything revealing, it was cool to hear their perspective about things to come. 

Called it early that day as I was meeting Emerson for an early dinner. My buddy from G4 Blair Herter joined us for a drink as well as Cass. Emerson had to bounce and then a bunch of Blair's G4 folks came over to hang with us. Great crew of folks! Got to meet up w/ former G4 girl Alison Haislip who is the cat's meow. Went back to chill for a bit and then went to a party with my pal Jeff. Then the Marvel party where I ran into old pal Jason Lewis. And as per usual, ended at the Hyatt. 

Well, didn't end there. Got a text and call from my friend Brea Grant to come hang in her friend's hotel room. And this happened:

Finally got to meet the new Doctor Who (and Rory, not pictured). Matt Smith was awesome though he didn't stay long. Thanks to Brea for inviting me along. I had drinks with The Doctor!
