I just finished reading The Nao of Brown by Glyn Dillon from my favorite UK publisher Self Made Hero. It is a fantastic tale of a half-Asian (like me!) woman (not like me!) living in London and dealing with a particular form of OCD where she imagines killing people horribly. She struggles with day to day life while looking for love and her place in the world. It's moving, heartwarming and heart-wrenching at the same time. Beautiful art that really captures her fear, delight, curiosity and more. It's definitely a frontrunner for graphic novel of the year for me! Expect to hear me wax on about it on next week's recording of my podcast COMIC NEWS INSIDER!
