Danger Diary Day 25: A Stranger. Okay. Cheating here again. I met Clare and her fiancé Craig back in early January when they were visiting from the UK. (So they were strangers then!) We hung out a couple of nights w/ them. She’s a teacher and is doing this great project for her students. So please share!

The podcast wife Erica Schultz returns! She and Jimmy chat briefly about the nerdy bits from the Oscars, the Jason Momoa as Aquaman picture and Spielberg being on board for Chris Pratt to play Indiana Jones. News includes: Dynamite announces Swords of Sorrow series and The Spirit revival, Invader Zim is back in comic book form, Archie Comics to end with issue #666, a man is dressed as Green Lantern at his wake and lots of TV/film casting news. 5 stars and nothing but love!
Danger Diary Day 24: A Light. I got a couple of lights in this picture. Threw in the mini-TARDIS (complete w/ pal Jamie Smart's “Where’s the Doctor” book as backdrop) for fun.
Main light is the ones on the digital recorder. I use this every week to record my podcast COMIC NEWS INSIDER and to conduct interviews for the show when away at conventions. It has brought me joy for many years! Those little lights let me know everything is in working order and the show is a go!
Danger Diary Day 23: An Animal. Batdog. I saw this dog at New York Comic Con and snapped a quick picture before it scurried off to stop crime. I think it’s the same dog that I’ve seen with a Superman cape on as well.
Danger Diary Day 22: Something That Makes Your Life Better. Friends. That’s one of my best pals John. I’m cheating a bit here again as it was supposed to be “something”. Ah well. Friends like John make life better. Especially when I’m dealing with rough times. Always there for me. Awesomeness!
Danger Diary Day 21: Something You’ve Held On To For the Last 5 Years. I’ve held on to these things for way more than 5. Almost 30 years! Top 3 pictures are of a Matroyshka or Russian nesting doll. I bought it in the former USSR back in 1987 when I was on a dance tour. And the bottom 3 pictures are of my tap shoes. I bought them in 1986 (well, mom bought them) and I wore them in a couple of numbers when I danced in Russia. As well as many other musicals/dance recitals for years after. If you look closely by the large letters “JA” (my initials I wrote), you can also see a signature. The signature is by Gregory Hines. One of my idols for years. And that’s him signing them in the last picture when I was privileged enough to dance with him back then. Yes I had long hair and my gf at the time braided it. Haha. I haven’t worn them/tapped since 1999/2000, but they always hang on my door as a reminder. Just as the nesting doll sits on my bookcase to keep watch.
Danger Diary Day 20: Something That Moves You. The A train in NYC. Yes, I’m probably not going to be the first or last to show a picture of a mode of transportation. But it literally moves me to where I need to go on a daily basis. Most of you will probably put something more meaningful but hey…it’s past 6am & I haven’t gone to bed yet. 😝 Non-transport things that move me that I might have posted instead: sheet music, an excerpt from a play, DVD, etc.
