I'm working the bar last night. Slow night. A girl comes in, orders some food and wine and starts reading. So, I leave her alone. A bit later, I check on her and she asks, "Did you do West Side Story awhile back?" Well, I did that show about 3 times. She continued on, "I saw you in it." She explained that it was the production way back in '99 in at Mill Mountain Theater in Virginia. Damn!
She also apparently has been following me around since. She knew my current address, date of birth, blood type, and type of bourbon I drink. Sweet! A stalker!
No, no. Her ex-hubby was in the show with me and she had been down to see him. Still, I can't believe I'm still recognized from when I was an actor. I mean, I left the game 6 years ago and since then...well, let's just say time hasn't been pleasant. 2 injuries and a gajillion pounds later, late night living, etc. But, I guess I'm just memorable like that.
At least that's what I tell myself when I look in the mirror. I mean, I knew I loved me. It's just nice to hear when someone else does too. And if they don't, I always got that mirror!
Now, if someone recognizes me from playing "Tom Thumb" in Barnum from back in '86, then I'll start to worry about stalkers. And by worry, I mean hope. All stalkers please apply and register here. I'll pick the best entry out and you can start to stalking!
Get to it!
Hey, were you Tom Thumb in Barnum back in '86? :P
