I had jury duty about two years ago, actually had to sit through a criminal case for four days (I was an alternate, so I was sent home before deliberation), and I realize how lucky I was because I was still making full-pay at my job for all the days I was out, didn't have to worry about exams or babysitters or what have you, but...I actually found the experience not exactly FUN, but educational and in its way enjoyable, and would do it again any time they asked (which, lucky for me, they're not allowed to do more than once every few years).
