This is soo great Jimmy!! Thank you! You were definitely like a brother to him. I'd love to share this on a Facebook page if that's cool.

Of course, Robert. My heart goes out to you and your family.

This is a very nice tribute to Kirk. I went to elementary school with Kirk in honolulu, HI and I haven't seen him since the 7th or 8th grade. I tried to hook up with him this time last year when i was visiting NY but sadly we couldn't get together. Everything you described about him was the same as i remember him in elementary. You hit it right on the nose... Something totally irrelevant, but I'll always remember that he taught me the Egyptian dance move, where you put your hands over your head and move your neck side to side lol.. Anyway thanks for sharing your tribute. Kirk will be missed. I wish we got to reconnect, but it's great to know that his personality has touched so many.

Thank you so much for doing this. I loved Kirk like a son, Kirk was a true friend of our family and called me every year on my birthday and on Mother's Day... Mea is one of my dearest friend. Meana is a sweety! God Bless you!

Thank you for this story. Kirk was a friend of mine. I am still greatly affected by his death. I teach his daughter in my dance classes and am so honored to spend time with her and the thought of both of our daughters forming a friendship is so special( my daughter is in the class too). He is so greatly missed and my life is forever changed by the events. Prayers and thoughts for Kirk! and Thank you!

Jimmy...

I am so out of the loop now that I am back at home in CA. I was just looking at the AEA Newletter, and saw his name. Don't even know why I looked at the obituaries. I ran to my computer, and found out it was true...I am so sad. I feel like such a bad friend. I know that Kirk will forgive me...
