My sis is awesome. For Easter, she had the kids “plant” jellybeans last night. Today when they wake up, they’ll see that the beans sprouted into “lollipop flowers”!

Subway Solo
I ran into an old friend at a subway station as we were both heading home from work. Made eye contact so went over to say "Hi" briefly. Hadn't seen each other in years and hadn't been in touch, but just wanted to greet quickly and bounce. It was all amicable as we have no bad history but it was clear that neither of us wanted a lengthy chat. So I nicely dismissed myself by holding my iPad up and saying, "Well, great to see you. I got some reading to catch up on. See ya!"
Have suffered through 2 different occasions with other people where we both clearly didn't really want to chat but did the small talk thing for the 30 minute ride. Yikes. Never again!
Moral of the story, kids. Not everyone wants to chat on the way home on the subway.

I’m a 42 year old mother of 2. Yesterday, I *slept in* until 4:30am, got my babies up and fed, planned an Easter brunch menu, finished a batch of rewrites, worked all day writing more comics than you, managed to sneak in 30 minutes on the treadmill and a quick shower before grabbing my hilarious and brilliant husband, two amazing children and double-batch potluck dish and heading to a seder at the home of two of our best friends, where I *rocked* playing with my daughter and her new bow & arrow out on the porch.
Kate Bishop is great. I love Kate. But she’s a fiction, sweetheart, and she’s no fucking me.

Kelly Sue has been one of my favorite writers for quite some time. I’ve interviewed her a few times over the years and it’s always an intelligent and fun conversation. While her comic book work is fantastic, the above owning of the troll is perhaps one of the greatest things she has ever written. ROCK ON, KS! You are an inspiration to all!
