It's A Wonderful Life: The Live Radio Play

Yes, It's A Wonderful Life is my favorite movie ever. Every year, some theater is putting on the radio play version. And every year, I plan on going but don't. This year was different. I did it! It played at Irish Rep and was fantastic. Whole lotta fun. A bit pricey (amazing cast with Broadway credits) but worth it. It plays through the new year so I recommend getting tickets now. 

Best Friends Forever: The Film

I finally saw the film Best Friends Forever. It was written and directed by my friend Brea Grant. She also stars in it with her friend Vera Miao. Produced by another friend Stacey Storey. It's a post-apocalyptic buddy road trip tale. It's really fantastic. Strong acting including a short scene that Stacey had playing Brea's sister. You can watch it by purchasing on iTunes. Go see it! 

Happy Hogswatch!

I finally watched Hogfather based on Terry Pratchett's Discworld series of novels. Caitlin, a loyal listener of my podcast (COMIC NEWS INSIDER), sent it to me a few years back because she knows how much I love Christmas and all things English. I'm not sure why it took me so long to watch but I'm glad I finally did. I loved it! Probably the 3+ hours running time always made me put it off. No more. I shall be celebrating Hogswatch each year now. And for you Downton Abbey fans, Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) is the kick-ass granddaughter of Death in this movie. And boy howdy does she look goth sexy with that hair and the cape and the sword...

Set some time aside and get to watching!
